How would it hurt when Barret in reality has very few models that are even California legal?

Well then that is a different story. But companies that make CA legal firearms, it would hurt them to not sell here.

I am sure the prices would actually go down in other states because then they wouldn't have to worry about Cali restriction built firearms anymore jacking up the cost of production and shipping

Whether or not it affects anything, it still sucks and CA residents are definitely going to have to pay more to buy new CA legal firearms.

That doesn't mean they are going to sell more units.

I doubt any company would completely stop selling handguns to CA

wheres the logic here? It makes no sense to say definitley that it would or wouldn't make more sales since the upside is that the price of the guns would drop and make it more enticing for people to buy since the pricepoint of ownership takes a drop.

Yeah it would be a market loss but not one that would be devastating by any means and would level and actually gain ground over time. The shitty part of it is Cali would be giving the uber-libs a foothold on the gun ban or severe restriction of them that would lead to a bigger fight nationally.

I just don't see how the price of guns already in production (because there are already non CA legal guns in production) would drop because of this. The only way it would go down is if they find a cheaper way to make the guns that already exist. Cheaper parts, cheaper labor, etc. Making a gun illegal in CA that already exists doesn't make it cheaper to build for somewhere else.

Now, it will be cheaper compared to the guns that are CA legal in the future...but not the ones that are currently made.
