Default Computer Peeps!! Problem With Motorola Mobile Phonetools

I've had Mobile Phonetools on my computer for a while. It's great to set up my phone/address book, and do ringtones from my computer. Last week it started acting up. It would freeze on the inital loading screen and not respond. I uninstalled/reinstalled, same thing. Today I installed a new version. The first time I opened it up, it opened fine...got to the screen where it searches for the phone, said hardware was ready to use...and now it hangs at the same initial loading screen.

Ideas? Nothing has changed since I last used it.

are you plugging the phone into the same usb port each time?

i would try installing a new version of bvrp v3 drivers, searching now

does the phone charge with usb, or just use mpt?

After the first time opening the fresh install, it won't open anymore...with the phone plugged in or not. It opens, I click the profile I want to use, and it locks up at the MPT load screen.

did you download version 4.5 or update to it?

download an old version, do a live update to 4.36
then install bvrp drivers for a v3
do all this with the phone unplugged
once all set, plug phone in, open mpt
that should work but it is a pain

another simple thing to try is delete the old profile and create a new one
there should be a few options of types of v3's, choose alltel or something else if you can, that may work if your real lucky

It doesn't ask to choose what carrier the phone is.

I downloaded 4.5 and then it updated.

I already have all the drivers for XP from bvrp.
