pc startup....
well we are judged on 3 factors:
1) dispatch efficiency....how many jobs we are dispatched on that we complete (keep in mind closing something complete & it isn't can be construed as falsifying company records...which is dismissable offense)
2) time per task....depending on the close-out code used, time alloted for a task has different time value (see falsifying company records above if you try to cheat & use a code that gives you more time than the one you should use)
3) repeats.....close a job complete & if cust calls back in 8 days, then BAM!! you just got a repeat
current pass rates are as follows (on a monthly basis):
dispatch efficiency = 96% or higher
time per task = 1.07 hrs/task or higher
repeats = 96% or higher (total jobs per month / total repeats)
well, lets see....
dispatch efficiency is pretty easily controlled. fix it or return it to cable repairman if trouble is in cable or whatever
time per task is fairly straight forward. "turn & burn" as they say. do it, close it, move on to the next job. screwing off usually gets most ppl in this category....some jobs take 15 minutes & some take several hours. in theory, the quick ones "average out" the long time jobs
repeats is the kicker & the hardest to control, but i gurantee a slow pc will cause somebody to call back in about their dsl moving slower than they think it should. & let me tell ya....it's never their pc that is slow....they always blame the dsl

so you get caught in a "catch-22" situation.....do you spend the time to fix it right, messing w/ your time per task #s or do you say "that's not my job" & risk the repeat???
:hsughr:
keep in mind:
1st month failing performance review gets you an informal "performance increase plan" to follow untill next review
2nd month failed results (in a quarter) gets you a "formal re-training entry" & "performance increase plan" to follow untill next review
3rd month failed results (in a quarter) gets a you an entry in your record for "failure to follow company policy" (ie the formal re-training/performance plan) & 3 of those entries in your record in 5 years is grounds for dismissal
so, to answer your question....no they don't "expect" me to do it (in that case, they'd have to allot me the time to do it....which they won't), but if i "expect" to keep my job then i have to do it
& there-in, as the saying goes, "lies the rub"
