I'm still debating. I have until the 19th to make a decision. I could still go, i'm still trying to find a route that's cheaper then the Travel Agent.

I've stayed at the Grand Oasis 3 years ago, which was the last time I went to Cancun. I read the bad reviews before I went but had no choice because all the hotels and flights were booked last minute. We wanted to go so we went there anyways.

The reviews are worse than the place actually is. Its a clean hotel, nice pool, and beautiful Cancun beach right in the back. The lobby has no A/C and it gets a little hot when checking in, but who gives a fuck you are not spending time in the lobby. If you do all inclusive the food is boring but edible, I've stayed at better Cancun resorts and the food gets boring anyway. Alcohol is free if you do all inclusive and if you tip the bartender well he will give you the high end stuff for no charge. Its a little far away from the main strip but cabs are cheap and public transportation stops right outside the hotel on the main road. Do not eat at Pizza Hut across the street because it sucks. You will not hate this place.

Edit: The rooms are clean and tidy, A/C works. People who write bad revies just do not now how to speak to people. If you ask something to be done politely and leave a tip they will do it. People need to learn social skills.

Good luck and have fun.

I'll take your word for it. I'm gonna come with like $100 in ones and tip everyone that can help me out, the check in person, bartender, and the cleaning lady. Do you rememeber how the dining situation was, i read that it's reservations only.

It said that when I read about it too. But you can just walk in when you want and sit down. Honestly the restaurant was empty most of the time because people tended to go out to eat I guess. I spent my 5 days drinking so food was a secondary objective and consisted of taco from the taco stands right outside of the clubs.

Use tripadvisor.com. I used it for Greece and it was the best.
