Default Bike Crew V. Milage question

Is there a correlation between engine displacement and how many miles you drive a year?
according to Kelly BlueBook, it seems like the bike of same year but different displacement, you'd expect the larger displacement to have more miles?

why?
if anything, when you get a ninja 250 to commute, you'd be putting more miles on it than lets say a Hayabusa, which you only ride on weekends...

They figure that you would be riding it more and also using it for longer distances. I know that I would NEVER want to commute more than 50 miles on a rebel, but on a 1300 cruiser I would go further. You can carry more and the thing will hold speeds better.

plus all the bikes made for long-haul cruising happen to have large motors. i.e. goldwing, etc.

Hey...if they want to riding the vibrating beast over 50 miles hop right to it but that thing vibrates WAY too much for me and there isn't enough power to survive on the highway imo.

it all depends if you have the proper riding position IMO....i put almost 10,000 miles on my 954rr the 1st year i owned it

rode it exclusively one "run" of 29 days straight. the reason i broke that "run" was it was time for oil & filter change & a new back tire put on, so i had to drive the car to work that day.

i had been in "bike mode" so long that when me & the girl were heading out to work, i came up to the left turn to merge onto the interstate & when i turned, i caught myself slide to the left side of the seat in the car & lean my head & body to the left....which got me a :hahano: look from her when she realized what i was sub-consciously doing & pointed it to me (i didn't even notice i did it) LOL

I don't have it anymore, but I used to ride it ~400 miles a weekend and it was great. Comfy and still very powerful. The gsxr is even more comfy as it doesn't vibrate really AT ALL. All you have to do is lean into the tank and I could go for HOURS!

I am actually contemplating riding it to Tombstone, AZ for turkeyday.
