I'd suggest those roach hotels you can buy.
Never dealt with roaches myself except for when I was real young (don't remember)b/c we lived in AZ.
Thankfully the winters here keep their numbers down so they're rare.
The reason I suggest the hotels is I hate the idea of having some nasty fog cover everything I own and b/c over time roaches will adapt to poisons. Unless you get them all at once, which is impossible, they'll come back.
I remember hearing the hotels are more effective and less likely to result in the roaches being immune... again, can't speak from experience.

I hate these centipedes we have here. they are just creepy. nothing with that many legs should move that fast. I've got my cat pretty well trained to eat bugs on sight but after taking one bite of a centipede she just runs when she sees one.

Werd I freak out at the sign of any roach. Are they doing construction in any of the apts? that useually brings them out.
