But wow, life is grand at $30-40k. And even with the lower wages, teachers start at high $30s here, so its not even that far off.

well then id say you would have a higher standard of living here.... not sure about cali stuff but here in NYS you have to have a masters to teach...

You dont over here...but a masters is not super hard to obtain. Teachers I know with masters are in the mid to high $40ks.

yeah and i know people who get extra salary per credit hour they earn..... and their education is paid in part by the school district they work for.... how nice would that be....

Yea...same here. Salary is based on years taught and credits earned at school.
