i would say 1 hit kill ability, much like the sword. you can still kill someone with one hit even if it's not red, as long as you're close enough.

Typically they already have damage though.

I go from worst to best...oi. I figured out why I don't like lone wolf...I just like having teams. More fun that way.

I also need to learn the Hammer. Do you need to be right on top of them or no?

I didn't like swords at first either, but I figured out a few tricks.

1. If you and someone else both hit at the same time and bounce off of each other, quickly hit the melee button. It seems to give a quicker jab than if you were to use the RT button again.

2. If you and some else hit at the same time and bounce off of each other, back off rather than go towards them. The will usually try to hit you and miss. You can easily get them after they miss.

with swords, after the clash ... I keep circling around. I never go dead straight. Everyone does that and you can clip people from behind.
