Xbox One Crew w. big enises ... Halo MCC HYPE THREAD! (est. 2007)
Software
Application: HDDHackr 1.24
Bin File: 250GB HDDS
Hardware
Case: Grey | Black
HDD: Amazon.com: Western Digital 250 GB 5400rpm SATA2 8MB 2.5-Inch Notebook Hard Drive WD2500BEVT (Scorpio Blue): Electronics
This is retarded easy. I did a quick search on Microsoft bans based off of self flashed HDDs and came up with nothing. They're not enforcing at all.
In a nutshell, you flash a Western Digital drive's firmware. This will trick the unit into believing it's a 360 OEM Fujitsu.
Now, you don't HAVE to get a 250GB HDD. You can get a 500GB HDD with the correct model number. Flash the 250HDDS.BIN file and your 500GB HDD will be a 250GB.
In the event MSFT releases a larger drive than 250, get the .BIN file from online and reflash. You'll then have a bigger HDD (but lose all info on the current drive)

1. On the PC you're using, did you detach all hard drives from it?
2. Did you create the USB boot device w. HDDHackr on it?
3. Can you launch the HDDHackr program?
4. Is the HDDS.bin file named properly?

4. Is the HDDS.bin file named properly? yes
i seriously spent about 2 hours on it. i can run hddhackr fine and it sees the drive, but once it tries to flash the drive, it says it can't or something and asks to resend until it works or whatever, and then does nothing.

try finding HDDHackr 1.22.
The 1.24 was just released and not something I've used before.
Also, I'm not sure if the WD drive needs to be initialized by a PC before being utilized.
