Xbox One Crew w. big enises ... Halo MCC HYPE THREAD! (est. 2007)
Thanks for the input.
Seriously blows that they are having issues with them. So is reach just unstable with those consoles, or will it not boot at all?
I was looking at the pre-kinect gens as well. The tasty point of the new gen for me is the wi-fi. I don't have a spare 50' of cable laying around, and I don't want to drop $90 on a wireless adapter FTL.
This can be taken to PM if you want so I don't trash up this page.

I may give it a month or so and see if there's a hardware fix. This is going into the thinking hat.
And keef, I don't want that cable through the apartment :chuckles:
The way it's set up, it would run down the middle of everything.
Although I hate wireless gaming lolz
Edit: Weren't old arcades going for $150 and had teh solid chipset?

Yes. Get one if you can find it.
You need a HDD though. If you have access to DOS, you can build a 250GB HDD yourself for about $50.
Working late and ended up eating dinner in Chicago.
Will be around tonight through Monday night. It's going to be a Reech-a-thon.

Software
Application: HDDHackr 1.24
Bin File: 250GB HDDS
Hardware
Case: Grey | Black
HDD:
Amazon.com: Western Digital 250 GB 5400rpm SATA2 8MB 2.5-Inch Notebook Hard Drive WD2500BEVT (Scorpio Blue): Electronics
This is retarded easy. I did a quick search on Microsoft bans based off of self flashed HDDs and came up with nothing. They're not enforcing at all.
In a nutshell, you flash a Western Digital drive's firmware. This will trick the unit into believing it's a 360 OEM Fujitsu.
Now, you don't HAVE to get a 250GB HDD. You can get a 500GB HDD with the correct model number. Flash the 250HDDS.BIN file and your 500GB HDD will be a 250GB.
In the event MSFT releases a larger drive than 250, get the .BIN file from online and reflash. You'll then have a bigger HDD (but lose all info on the current drive)
