i'm looking forward to it. not take a day off status, but i think the campaign will be fun atleast.

 

new firefight looks cool too. the obejective games are great. I love the perks idea. I think reach is going to be awesome.

I'm not hating. Just not as excited as I was before I played the beta.
I'm sure it will be fun. But just not what I was expecting.

Drew says the campaign is a blast. But that's only fun for a few weeks. Matchmaking is where it's at. I just hope they made some much needed repairs.

 

The beta was bad.
- weapons weren't balanced (shotgun and hammers dominate, DMR does nothing)
- hit accuracy wasn't there (headshots only registered on the forehead, not face)
- severe player slowness

Some of this seems to be fixed in the Campaign / FireFight mode. Again, can't say what's up with MatchMaking yet.
+ player movement speed is up. Jumping is still very grounded when compared to H3. Trying to jump up stairs to get up them faster no longer works.
+ DMR has some good "pop" to it.

a while back, i got a new router (the Cisco E2000) so i could have wireless-N and gigabit ethernet. but ever since then, i haven't been able to open my NAT, which is why i could never hear nick, and probably made us match a lot slower. well, they finally ported dd-wrt to the E2000, i flashed it this morning, and now have an open NAT. hopefully it'll make stuff run smoother.

 

Looks like it was an admin's call, no biggie.

yeah, i'd leave it too, but the other day we were playing, so he wanted to do a party so we could hear each other. this is just easier than doing parties and crap.

 

anyone gonna be on tonight?
