do you guys think you need a new copy of odst to get the beta invite, or would a used copy work?

 

I hope not... that would be rediculous. i'm pretty sure any copy of ODST will work. I'm guessing it will be a downloadable update.

 

last night i hooked up my xbox to my regular computer monitor using the vga cable (i bought it years ago but i don't remember why). it wasn't too bad. it's a 2ms monitor but i don't think it really helped me all that much though. maybe going over vga makes it slower.

and my throat mic is out for delivery. hopefully it works better than my current mic.

 

slow day at work.

anyway, i was able to get my foot in door as far as getting a new monitor. right now my wife has a 10" netbook, so i suggested that i could get a new monitor and then hook the old one up to her puter so she can have a regular size monitor. she said it was a good idea. well, "not a bad idea". so i'll let it simmer a bit see what i can do. not sure a new monitor is gonna help me all that much, but it would be nice. lately i've been sitting on an ottoman at the foot of our bed, and it's quite uncomfortable. last night was better in my desk chair though. i need to find a good setup before reach comes out, that's for sure.

Nice, man. Does your 360 even have the hdmi port?
Hopefully you can get the new monitor and get a better setup going on so you are comfortable.

Being comfortable really makes a big difference.

nope, no hdmi. that's why i had to find the monitor with component inputs. no way she'd let me get a new xbox when the one have works fine.
