that actually doesn't make sense. If economy turns for the worse (like it did this year), condos would still keep their value since people can still afford condos, and not much more expensive houses.

no that is just what you think not what actually happens. houses will go down in value and it will cause townhouses and condos to go down in value as well. just because people keep their condos/townhouses it doesn't mean the value doesn't go down.
you think if you don't sell your car the value stays the same?
