That car isn't that chopped up considering either he is re-sectioning in the rear portion of hte top or is considering taking the top full off.

All in all they aren't that hard to build. It depends on how traditional you want to go with the car. There is no way in hell I would put MII A-Arms under one or update it with AC, power brakes or power steering.

Solid front axle and quick change rear on a suicide front design and a flathead V8 pushing out about 160hp FTMFW...fuck anyone who puts an SBC into an old rod.
you're right...id throw a BBC into an old rod!!!

id kill for one of these, a guy pulled up in one of these, black with red steelies

:gtfo:

you have no concept of classic cars

a ratrod is not designed to have any extreme power or newer motors.

and a big block is such a waste on a car like this.

He makes complete junk IMO and also knows nothing anymore about traditionals.

Just look at what happened back when Bluebear challenged him to a traditional buildoff. Boyd couldn't pull through on the challenge and ended up firing Bluebear trying to save face.

Boyd is a boozy hack at his very best and his contemporary designs are all the same...worst thing he ever did was get rid of Foose, even though I am not a huge fan Of Foose at least the man had fresh and unique designs for the cars he builds.

in the beginning boyd was one of the best hands down ... but i think his problem is he has lost touch with what its really all about. he's about the money straight up, thats his primary concern nowadays, how much can he make not how unique and fresh can he make it.

Foose, well foose has some interesting ideas, but again that style isnt what i like. i like clean , simple, classic ... i like the cars to still showcase what they were about when they were designed.

the other problem with these guys is they try to incorporate too many modern designs and amentities into their vehicles ... i dont want fuel injected, i dont want fuel mileage, i dont want a/c ... if i wanted all this fancy crap id go buy a $60,000 luxury car and call it good
