Well i'm not looking to put any money on top, actually the opposite. Looking for a trade + cash on their end. The GS300 is just right in my area but been looking around on the IS and it's a few grand more.

 

Ok here's the update:

The guy with the 98 lexus gs300 said the only thing the car needs is upper control arm. I figure for the part and labor is about $400-$500, would that be a good assumption? The book value of his car is close to about $10k and mine is a lil under $9k. He said he'll leave everything on the car (aftermarket parts) and will take off the rims and put the stock wheels on with 4 brand new tires. He said he'll trade his for mine plus he'll give me $800 on top of the trade to fix the control arm and cause I wanted cash on top.

It's a really nice car, engine/tranny are reliable (did some reading). It'll be a car that I won't have to worry about as much for these damn thieves and should last me a few yrs til I get settled into a comfortable situation (house,job,etc...).

What do you guys think?
