Default Thinking about buying this..........

Well i'm not sure whether I want to keep the gsr or not. I'm tired of having to watch my back for it and i'm looking to get a decent DD and hopefully some cash on top of a trade.

2 years ago I almost got a lexus gs300 but didn't since it was too much. I was offered this car:

http://newjersey.craigslist.org/car/390958205.html

I told him I don't need the ugly rims to put the stock ones on or w/e. Was thinink of trading his for mine and asking for $2000 on top. I dont know the history of these cars, are there any engine/tranny problems I should know about?

That seems expensive for a car that is almost 10 years old...not like it's a Porsche or something like that.

That car looks decent, but high miles!

Keep the GSR, buy an older civic or accord to drive when you need to park in shady areas.

Yup thanks for the advice, all I really need is a good reliable DD and something to get me from A to B. Then once I have my life set and have a good job/house i'll buy myself a new car.

This guy sent me a message and is willing to trade + cash on his end. Car looks awesome is exactly what i'm looking for. Plus i can always make it into a project car in the future.

I'm trying to meet up with him this week to see if we can work up some kinda deal. His car only got ~44k original miles so it's probably worth around $6k. Hopefully i'll be able to get an additional $2000-$2500 + trade.

It is good you have your prioritys in order, my "buy a beater" solution was just a suggestion. I just remember how it was so important for you to to get another GSR.

I guess if your not happy with that civic, you can always sell it and get something else.

How many miles are on your integra?

It just turned over 85k miles on the teg. I'm paying monthly for the car since I took out a loan for it and I have no problems paying for it but my dad needs alot of help right now financially. I can help him out alot better if i'm able to pay off this loan faster so I can contribute more.

I'm not gonna rush the sale for the car unless I feel i'll get a good deal for it. If nothing comes my way i'll keep and just try n do what I can. If I can trade my car for another decent DD and get another $2500-$3000 on top of the trade i'll go ahead and do it.

I figure if I can make a trade with my car for this one it'll last me a couple of years if I take care of it since it only have 44k miles on it. Could always make it a project car too.

Then in the future i'll get another teg when i'm living comfortably. I'll always have a teg.

The next one i'll have will be my 4th if I do sell this one.

I love how your expected return changes with each post you make :chuckles:

So exactly how much do you really think your little GSR is worth in the real world compared to the $13k 10 year old car?

Whatever you two are smoking you should start selling because you both must be high as fuck on it.

Wishful thinking? $2000-$3000 would be ideal. :chuckles:

I've been offered a trade that's worth $13k but he lives too far and I don't want to deal with the distance.:hsdunno:

GSR's have high street value especially when the engine/tranny have been unmolested. h:
