On Mythbusters they tested the cork bat myth. In there test's, it didn't make any difference.

Actually if you don't have the extra strength from the steroids to hit a home run you would just end up with a bunch of singles, doubles, triples, and occasional home runs, so yes the steroids do help you hit home runs. You would be just an average hitter then.

except he was a homerun hitter before the so called steroid scandal

power alone doesn't get you home runs.

i dont think so. there is a lot of mechanics and technical aspects of hitting homeruns. (yes, its not just swinging the bat as hard as you can)

if you look at players back before the steroid scandals such as Ken Griffey Jr, Will Clark, Kevin Mitchell, Jose Canseco (pre-roids), Mark McGwire (pre-roids)...they were all home run hitters. They weren't bulking with muscles.

it was not until steroids became more prominent that the hitters started hitting 400-500+ feet homeruns more commonly.

They've averaged his total home run distance over his entire career. Towards the last few years, they've increased by an average of like 50 feet. And no, he wasn't the power hitter he was before the supposed steroids began.

His average yearly homerun total before the age of 30: ~27 homeruns
His average yearly homerun total after the age of 30: ~40 homeruns

By comparison, these are the similar totals for Hank Aaron:

His average yearly homerun total before the age of 30: ~33 homeruns
His average yearly homerun total after the age of 30: ~32 homeruns

Nobody gets that much stronger after the age of 30.

I'm not disagreeing that he hasn't gotten stronger.

So how long was his average homerun ball before the steroids? And how long is his average homerun ball after? Let's subtract the difference and see where all his steroid homeruns fall. I'm sure some would not have been homeruns at all.

Yes, but you are saying he was the same power hitter before the supposed steroid scandal, which based on stats alone, isn't true.
