It's called the bureaucratic bullcrap required when dealing with the state, law, government, etc. I think it's a bigger motivator not to get a ticket (or involved with the law in any way) than the fee and hit on your insurance.

One time I got caught doing 105 but the cop put 100 and the speed limit was 55. I got a $125 fine and 2 pts but I had a lawyer. h:

I wouldn't bet on it. They'll probably want an additional $30-70 for the traffic school even after the $29 but maybe not. My wife recently got a ticket and she had the option to pay $45 for the ticket or $50 for traffic school. But that was a 51 in a 35 and in Utah instead of Cali.
