If you wanted to be a server or something? And I dont mean criminal record, but like work history and the validity of that all? Will it be fine tooth and comb?
Just wondering? h:

Upper echelon single or small franchise places? The kind where I can make decent money?
Age old question. How do you get started when they all want experience? Lie?

Restaurant owners don't expect you to be around forever. Most servers are in transit to something "greater", so if they believe you care about your goals, they'll believe you'll care about your job.

Def. don't lie. They'll be able to tell after 10 minutes of you working on the floor, and will most likely call you out and fire you. Usually, to get your foot in the door, you do a few weeks of busing tables at high-end places unless you get lucky and its a season where they can afford to train you.

I must confess...the very first job i ever worked in the IT field i stated that when i was in college i was working as an intern at a company that went out of business. The only thing is the company did go out of business as city halls public records would show....i was just never an employee there h:
I got the job and ever since then i took that job off the resume because i have the experience needed to get me where i had to go.
