some places might want someone who has never served before, so they can train you the way they want to.. :dunno:

By law your previous employer can only say that you worked for them and the dates in which you worked. It is illegal to tell a potential employer why you left, thats for you to tell them. Background checks are typically done in order to find out criminal history and credit rating.

Read the thread. He doesn't have waiter experience. Doesn't matter who the employer calls if it isn't in the same field.
