And i'm a very unhappy camper. So I got in my car and started it up so I can get going to work. For some reason the car didn't sound right so I got out and put my hand against the exhaust and the back pressure felt a little light. For those of you who had your car for a while, you know your car and when something doesn't feel right. So not sure what it was I take off to work. Slowly this noise gets louder and louder and as i'm about 2 mins from work up the street that my job is on I see a detour (construction) and a cop in the middle of the street directing traffic.

As SOON as I get to the detour, BAM! I hear this loud noise and make a right at the intersection, pull over and sure enough it's what I thought. The pipe connected to the muffler rusted off and was hanging. :madr:

So I shut it off cause the last thing I want is to get pulled over. Up ahead there's 2 other cops parked infront of me. So now i'm pissed that my exhaust broke and that i'm stuck until these cops move. :rant:

They finally leave after a 1/2 hr and I finish driving to work since I was only about 10 mins away. I really don't have the money to fix this and I gotta drive it like this tonight back home.

Who else had this happen to you????? This happened to my boy's 2nd gen intergra a few months ago and now me.

 

all you had to do is be like , it broke right there 10 feet away im driving to work where ill get it fixed ... no problems

 

the bracket holding my muffler rusted out. a coat hanger fixed that quite well :hs:

 

My Prelude broke down out of town 2 weeks ago, I still dont know whats wrong with it...I think the timing belt slipped or my tensioners are shot

Depends on the city and here in Montclair, these cops aren't as lenient as other city cops. :hs:

That happened to me when I had my Civic a few years ago. I was actually quite happy because I had a legitimate reason to get a RS*R Exmag exhaust.

 

Happened to me once at a Sear's Autostore.

I went in to ask if I could borrow some tools and no joke the guy goes...I don't think we have any. (As he looks at the autoshop.) :madr:
