try brake clean "or seafoam" through the intake manifold , it should clean out all of your carbon build up in the system. but do it in an open area where you won't get into a lot of trouble. tons and tons of smoke will start pouring out of the car

I've had the worst experiences with sea foam. I wouldn't even risk it - unless you're confident and have used it before. Carb & Choke cleaner is all I would use.

As for the "Loud Bang" - I can see this being the case normally, but his rust was so bad that a small leak could have already been present. It wouldn't take much for it to break completely, just look at the rust in his pictures!

Its good your not loosing any oil, at least your engine is in good shape. I'd have to see the pictures to make any other "educated guess" on whats going on here. Sorry to hear bro

Oh and :werd: to that, I re-painted almost everything underneath my car when I moved here from PA. Unfortunately, my car will see the northeast again...

Welp the temporarily welds worked for 7 months....

The other day my car felt wierd (you know when something's not right). Sure enough it was more noticable yesterday and today it's definately the exhaust and it's getting louder and louder. Just a matter of time before my car sounds like a rocket ship blasting off.

So i'm going exhaust system shopping and buying something online today.....any suggestions. Since I have the 00-01 gsr I can get a LS exhaust system since they're same length right?

nah I think they are different they'll both be listed if they are the same. I'd highly recommend an RSR exmag or the cheaper WS2
