Do you like your job?
ya, i guess you make money, but you dont make as much as you could buy moving jobs every so often. and also, after a while things get too easy and boring. in IT...people move on..it's known. i dont plan on settling till i'm about 40. i predict i will have at least 3-4 more jobs before i decide to stay at a place where i decide to retire....unless retirement benefits are off the hook

ya, i know some places are made to keep their employees. i have a friend who works at Allergan (creators of botox)
h: and he said all their IT guys have been there forever. He said it's a hard place to leave because of all the great benefits they have. so i guess if you find a place like that, it makes it easier to stay

i like my company, but i also love money. you dont make money in IT by staying at the same company for 35 years.
