Do you like your job?
I was talking to a co-worker today about how neither of us had planned to stay at this company too long...but I'm coming up on 3 years and she's coming up on 4. Seems like that happens a lot :dunno:
So just out of curiosity.... -What kind of work do you do? (IT, Administrative, Customer Service, etc.) -How long have you been working with your current company? -Do you like your job? -How long do you plan on staying with the company? |

-How long have you been working with your current company? -Do you like your job? -How long do you plan on staying with the company? - 3 years - Eh...it isn't challenging enough for me. - As long as I can. GREAT pay, GREAT benefits...so it pays the bills. |
I'm a network systems engineer & DBA. I really enjoy my job b/c there are always challenges and I get to travel f/ time to time. I've been w/ the company about 15 months now.
I think at this point in time that 5 years with ANY company is a long time. This seems to be because most technology industries evolve in about 4-7 year cycles, and with change, people seem to move around. |
-Commercial Credit Analyst
-been with the company about 11 months, been in this position for 6 months. -I really like my job. I'm learning a ton and it's pretty relevant to what I got my degree in. -I'll stay with this company as long as the pay remains competitive and have opportunity for growth. Plus they have a tuition reimbursment program so they'll help pay for my Master's degree. |
-What kind of work do you do? There are certain aspects I enjoy ... there are others I loathe. - It's very hard to say. I live close to the office, that's a major factor here. I can't imagine having to commute to Chicago. My drive to work would go from 30 minutes to 90. |

Photographer for Crawl Magazine -How long have you been working with your current company? Since it started so about a year and a half now -Do you like your job? Yea it's a lot of fun when I am working. When I have down time I tend to get frustrated with it, but thats how this industry is. -How long do you plan on staying with the company? Until I decide I no longer want to be a shooter or work for this company, it has almost happened a few times already but I always seem to come back to it. |
Well, im actually leaving my job next week and starting a new job that following week. I can already tell this is going to be the company i'll be with for years if not forever.

IT/Help Desk
Going on 7 years I enjoy my coworkers and I enjoy the challenge sometimes. It becomes monotonous though because I haven't really learned anything or gotten any challenges in a while. Hopefully until retirement. They treat their employees really well for the most part. I was making 19k for about the first 4 years but once we got under new (read: not shitty) management and they realized I could actually be of some use, it's gone up to the 42k range. I figure I should be making some decent change by the time I'm ready to retire. |
