What's "appropriate" for basement?

Default What's "appropriate" for basement?

Just curious, would this be a place to ask a question about a torque wrench?

:chuckles: I know it's a stupid question, but it's not at all specific to a certain car or even necessarily working on cars.

I just don't want to annoy anyone by posting something too serious (not fun) in this place.

A thread asking about a torque wrench > A thread asking about asking about a torque wrench

Default Torque Wrench Question

Alright, let's see how this goes :nervous:

I need to torque something to 7 lb-ft.

My torque wrench's lowest setting is 120 inch ft-lbs which equals 10 ft-lbs of course.

If I turn the wrench a little below that 120 inch ft-lb setting, will it ruin the wrench or would it have to be significantly lower than that "lowest setting" for it to come undone?
