When will Honda offer a "clutchless" auto tranny in the Civic?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the first transmission series to use the locking torque converter was way back in the 70's with the H2... I was tired and didn't feel like looking up exactly when and didn't want to say "over 30 years ago" when I wasn't positive.

Anyone here actually driven the BMW SMG? I've really pushed a manual M3, but haven't had a chance to play w/ any equipped w/ the SMG. From what I read, its rated waaaaaaaay up there on the list.

most of the BMW, being purists, hated it. Though, I suppose if you weren't a purist in the racing sense, wanted a luxury sport, and didn't mind it doing some of the work for you it's a decent system.

I wish I had some driving stories...maybe Rick has some?

Personally, I'd have a manual, but if it came down to the wife wanting to drive the car too, i might settle for an SMG. Considering i've been shopping for 330s and M3s, info is good to hear.
