When i bought car in january the oil was very clean but not sure what kinda oil it is so I was gonna change is soon for peace of mind. If I were to do an oil change with that royal purple stuff (~4 qrts), would that be no prob?

chris was talking about buying from a dealer ... their honda branded is non-synthetic mobil1 ... i told chris to call me if he wants to come get some of the synthetic mobil1

as for royal purple sure why not ... but its a waste of your money, just throw some good dino in and you will be good

i only use synthetic as i cant do oil changes due to location, and i am not paying someone to do it for me, so i tend to go 8-10k on a oil change

just remember this cam ... as long as you change your oil and filter when you supposed to then regular dino oil is going to perform perfectly for you in a stock motor ... its when you start talking extreme heat or extreme intervals that you start talking a deterioration of performance.

my dad will build a 600hp big block for a guy and all he will put in it is cheap baseline valvoline 10w30 dino ... nothing fancy ... doesnt need it.
