only reason i run synthetic is simply i trust it more on the extended oil change periods i have ... being 300 miles from home makes it hard to change the oil whenever i want, especially since i dont trust quick lubes and i get the stuff dirt cheap so why pay someone else

I used M1 from 140k-238k on my old car and burned about a quart every 5k miles compared to a quart every 3k miles on Castrol Syntec. The oil consumption never increased at all and the engine ran perfectly :dunno: worth it to me if I can get 8k miles out of an oil and peace of mind. I know Honda recommends 7500 on dino oil but that makes me queasy h:

if its a straight up conventional i think it would have to be compared to the mobil clean 5000...the 7500 is a semi-synthetic and the others are synthetic

i could be wrong though

edit: on second thought its prolly straight up mobil clean, but you cant actually buy that retail
