9/10 these poachers have greater resources than the people protecting the animals, not to mention your talking about a group of poachers numbering say 3 in a area the size of rhode island or bigger ... awefully hard to effectivily protect an area that large in a nation where there is widespread illness and hunger among the human population.

 

the problem is less on the female side and more on the male side ... collecting the semen from an animal that isn't all that friendly proves to be a challenge as someone has to go in and phsyically get the sample ... it works with cows and horses because they are generally domesticated

 

:doh: Shit I forgot these things don't take kindly to tranquilizers and usually have bad reactions to them :doh:

 

not to mention a tranquelized rhino is gonna be awefully hard to get semen from, its one of those things you have to work on ... if you catch my drift

never personally participated ...

its not that awkward to me, something growing up on a farm that is just one of the usual deals. and then working for farmers who make a true living off of cattle and whatnot, its even less of a issue. they have people come in who specialize in this sometimes and they do their job.

i cant say its something id choose to watch, its kinda creepy, but still like i said, yes i've seen it and it wasnt that big of a deal.

 

The rhino is worth having around, the rapper...well there are a million of em and not too many are worth a shit as people or as artists.

 

I remember the dirty jobs episode where he worked on a horse :chuckles:

Try doing preg check on cattle every year.
Or if you have a cow or horse that has to be artificially insemenated. It's a pretty nasty job but it has to be done.
