Thanks for the replies. And yeah, there is a minimum requirement for PT. If you don't make the minimum requirement during the Reception week, you get held back for a month and do nothing but PT.

back when i was a senior in hs & was pretty serious about joining the marines, i was running 20-25 miles a day, 6 days a week....10 in the morning & either 10 or 15 in the eve.

my best 10 mile was in the neighborhood of 55 minutes & i once did 10 miles w/ a 50lb pack on my back in 1hr 20min....keep in mind i only weighed 120, so this was almost a 50% weight addition LOL

i took all the physical certs for the marines & was all set to join right after graduation, then 2 weeks before, i was running cross-country, came over a hill, stepped in a hole & bent my knee 90-degrees in a direction it wasn't meant to bend

spent the next year in physical therapy & totally blew my chances for the marines

Suuuuucks, James.

My nike+ should FINALLY be here in the morning, so I can track my progress. I've been running two miles at a time, usually finishing in about ~16 minutes.
