Default question about selling a car...

I have someone interested in buying my car but they live in OH and I live in IN. Is there anything special I have to do for this sale? He mentioned something about a notary public but I've never had to use one before. I'm not sure if he brought this up because he would be buying the car out of state or what. Is it really necessary?

He just needs a bill of sale, having it notarized may be necessary for him to get a plate in his home state. Just look up notaries in the phone book, most charge around $25.00.

Most UPS stores will notarize if you need one after hours.

On my post it should be $10.00 for the notary fee, free if it's at your bank/CU.
