At my local Wal-Mart, there's a Vizio 50in, 1080p, plasma for $976.
All I've seen are 1080i Vizio tv's, not 1080p...not even on their website. And not that cheap on Walmart's site h:

Word, thanks.

As for my opinion on the TVs.
I first had the 37" LCD and now I have the 42" Plasma.

I honest like the picture quality on the 37" better than the 42".

Yea but I'm not a big LCD fan. h:

I like this one:

1080i, 15000:1 contrast....but not 1080p. I don't want to have to get another tv in 2 years if 1080p is the standard.

Here you go man. I got BB and Circuit City mixed up. You can get that same plasma at CC for $1299 right now. Let me know if you go through with it because I was looking at the same thing to replace one of my Sony's.

ahah i like how CC has the msrp at 1999 but on vizios site it's 1699

btw the p50 and the vp50 are the same. bp50 is the cost reduced version.

Yeah I know that, and actually heard that the vp50 is newer and better than the p50. Notice the different contrast ratios...10000:1 vs 15000:1
