I was hoping you were gonna say it already had one on it.

I agree with the swap, though. I stopped driving my 67 Camaro because of the gas that 350 drinks. :hs: After a while, it just didn't make sense to drive it everyday.

can you fit the 6bt or was this the one where you would have to upgrade everything to handle it? you can score a rebuilt 4bt for around 2k or a used one for around 1000 from what I remember.

I have yet to find the magical land of 4bt swaps for sale at a cheap price. found a site that had new ones for 4k but not what I want to pay really.

the 6bt is a really tough fit and a bit more weight than I want in this rig. If I had gotten an FJ55 and was gearing more to adventure wheeling I would probably consider it an option. it would also mean upgrading the axles to built D60s and the tranny and xfer cases as well.

I wish I was still in my diesels class, actually...I can prob. shoot an e-mail to the instructor. He builds diesels for a living and told us if we need a look around we could give him a shout. He mite even be able to find one more local to you so it wouldn't have to be shipped. It's a long shot but if you want I can shoot him one.
