I dunno. Everyone pays attention to gas prices but when it comes down to raw expenses I think people spend so much more money on crap they don't need rather than gas (or at least I do). Granted, between my wife and I, we spent just over $200 last month on gas. We both drive cars that get over 30mpg too. But looking at the credit card bill we also spent about $100 on fast food, which does nothing but clog our arteries, and about $100 on junk at Walmart that will probably be in the trash or a yard sale in a year. We've actually come quite far at not spending money on ghey stuff, it used to be considerably higher. Since we've cut out some the crap we have a lot more money than if gas prices dropped a buck, or even two.

Granted, high gas prices still bite, money is money and money spent on stupid stuff is the same as money given to Chevron.

I don't think the national avg. will go over 3.40-3.50. It usually peaks in may and then comes back down for most of the summer with another peak in august. But if there is another katrina style hurricane it could get ugly, $4.50+.

No offense dude, but your spendings on everything else in life has no relation to high gas prices. I believe your just trying to justify other spendings as "a waste" so that you dont feel as bad for paying these high prices.

$3.99 where I'm at - but other parts of canada are up to $4.56 (those are prices after conversion) $1.11 a litre in PEI, and $1.27 a litre other places in Canada. I used the 0.9 conversion since the dollar has climbed.
