Default fish tank experts

I'm going to have another go at my tank. I only had a basic setup (gravel was my filter with the pump trying to suck from under it lol) soo...not much of a filtration system. Going to be fresh water, I want it to be as maintenance free as possible. What do I need to get to accomplish this?

undecided on warm or cold water fish, pretty sure it doesn't matter yet. Let me know if you need dimensions.. I'm not sure how many gallons it is :hs:

You need to figure out what kind of fish you want, then do your homework on how to take care of them.

If you want low maintenance, get a small goldfish bowl with a couple goldfish. It sounds to me that you are going to want more from a hobby than you are willing to personally invest. If you want a nice setup, it's not going to happen with a low commitment level. If that's the case, I seriously recommend a different hobby.

gold fishes are not low maintenance because all they do is crap all over....nasty !!!

If you want a true low maintenance fish....get a beta LOL, but other than that you will need to do some work.
