Wegmans
Thats such a stereotype - anyway I use self-checkout. And when you buy boxed or canned food it doesn't matter where you get it. Selection wise wegmans do have quite a bit, but I can get a significantly smaller bill NOT shopping at wegmans.
I actually have a Wegmans next door to my apartment complex and it drains my wallet because I go at 2am all the time.

+1
I definitely like "step-up" grocery stores.
The place closest to me is your typical generic middle of the road cookie cutter regional chain grocery store. For just stocking up on whatever, I go there since it's like a 1/2 mile from my house. Mostly for packaged stuff...whatever it's good enough.
When I'm shopping for something I'll actually be cooking I hit up one of the nicer places. If it's been a while, when I get there I genuinely feel as if I've been missing out on something by going to the place close to home.
