DVD rental laws

so i wonder if i buy a DVD used at blockbuster can i turn arorund and rent it out?

How bout if i buy a DVD on Amazon can i just rent those out if i wanted to?

they buy a licensing rental agreement for the title not the disc. That's why they don't give a shit if you keep the disc and they get to charge you a bunch of money for it. It's a flat rate and they can get as many copies of the movie they want.
