I thought you only bought the right to watch the dvd, not do whatever you want with it. Kinda like with cds..

apparently CD and DVD are different, you are allowed to rent them out. The renter most use it for personal usage, not public broadcasting. Even if he does HE is breaking the copyright not you.

Also in that last article they write about Amazon selling the DVDs for cheaper but you are not allowed to rent them out.

Renting used DVD for 2$ delivered to you doorstep would be a great way of making a little cash on the side. I live in a BIG appartment complex... dont know how i can prevent peep form never returning the DVD.

A 20$ deposit maybe
