Vista Gurus
So I just got a new computer and it has Vista, however none of my videos seem to work and I am getting windows media player crashes when I try to play some videos. What codec packs are you using?

codec packs are largely a scam to get crap on your pc you don't need. 99% of the codec's you need will be downloaded automatically by WMP.

Correction. Never buy an OS before the first security pack. Its okay after that, best to wait longer but its fine.
