I would re-install XP Pro that I have from my previous computer, but Vista is just soooo pretty. Though there are some def. weird/stupid features.

3d cube desktop > anything vista will offer

yea. Everything I used with XP is working so far with vista :knockonwood: so form and function are working fine.
I installed K-Lite and all problems, errors, etc are gone

vista didnt work with my wi-fi software... and it was killing my battery life

Grab a program called Gspot and find out what codec you need, then go to free codecs and get the proper one.
You usually only need xvid and divx for most stuff.
