Default I need help with DVD ripping

Before this thread gets locked/deleted, I would like to state my case.

I need to rip some parts of Barnyard the Movie for my demo reel. I legally purchased the dvd as well.

I'm using WinAVI and it's not letting me rip anything. Am I supposed to use some special setting or what?

You can use DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter. either of those work well. You may have to find the encryption packet though because Sony likes to lock you out of the disc a lot and sometimes it takes a bit to crack them.

DVD decrypter and Gknot

when using DGindex to get your d2v file just set it for the area you want of the film.

you can do this by pressing the [ ] buttons on the console

what the feck? it's like one button

as far as the encoding goes, just rip the whole movie from dvd decrypter, and then use DG index to make your separate files needed for each of the clips you want to use.

Gknot will guide you through compression and all and all the hardest part i just selecting bitrates and managing maybe 3 to 5 settings max. you'll be able to rip like a pro in no time just PM my ass in the morning
