Canada to put $4000 tax on SUV's
an investment? what part of purchasing a vehicle is an investment?
there should be no "luxury" tax on a non-luxury item. thats all im saying.
and buy a hybrid SUV? those things are a freaking joke, id have one of those broke by the end of the first week
all im saying is penalty taxes on purchasing somethign are wrong to me...i shouldnt be penalized because i want to buy something,

How do you know you would have a Hybrid SUV break down in a week?
Even if you think you shouldn't be penalised for purchasing something that enviromentally unfriendly... You should at least be rewarded if you buy something that is friendly to the enviroment. And to fund that you should tax the most polluting consumers.
i'm saying the tax is fucking retarded since new SUVs don't pollute anywhere near as much as old cars. why can't you get that through your head?
and my grandma still drives a 1984 fifth avenue, perfect mechanical condition. i hope you drown in the acid rain that it causes.

You cant tell someone they cant drive a car they've had for 50 years anymore, so you try and regulate the NEW high emission vehicles and provide incentive for the NEW low emission ones.
Don't start a fucking argument just for the fact that you don't like the dood. Thats childish. Get that through your head.

YOU sir are the moron. You think cause your grandmas car is still in good condition it'll run forever? Its common sense. Old cars fade out... new cars are bought. How many 1930's cars are still around? Or 40's or 50's. Other then collectors, they arent on the road very much. The MAJORITY of the population who purchased these have sold/scraped/run them to the ground and in teh process purchased newer ones with better emissions.

You're missing the entire point, which is that older cars pollute far more than new SUVs. I'm not talking about cars from the fucking 1930's, stop dramatizing. How many cars do I see on the road from the 80's? A whole hell of a lot. And if you're going to get all environmentalist, why ignore those cars but blame SUVs for all of our eco problems? It's just a witch hunt. And I'm sure SUVs in 2020 will have much better emissions than any car from 2000. Same concept.
but the most poluting 2020 SUVs should still be taxed.... same concept. Dude no one what the fuck you actually saying that because we HAD more poluting cars in the past we shouldn't give a fuck about how poluting the current car are. :wtf: dude

You cant take away every old car from 1920 - 1996 and scrap them, and give everyone $2000 to buy new cars. WTF are they going to buy with that shit? Think of it logically. It's a way to fix the problem progressively.
You make stupid points. Its a phase out. How do you not understand that part? Do you know what the words mean?
