Maybe I will be able to afford the PS3 when the slim version comes out in 6 years or so.

I will be very jealous when FF13 and GTHD come out.

for what I've been reading, sony is winning the format war so far. once the heavy hitter titles come out for ps3, watch out. systems will fly off the shelves.
