Default Aquarium peeps v. algae eater

So I have a gold algae eater and now theres no more algae for him to eat so he just swims around all day. He seems all agitated sucking on the glass and other random stuff... So my question is, do they eat leftover food that drops to the bottom of do i need to get special food for him? (he just keeps swimming around restlessly all over while the other fish kinda just chill )

I bought my gf a 60 gallon tank, and it's up and looking great! She read that you can feed them slices of zucchini. She anchored it to a rock at the bottom, and the algae eater loves it. She leaves it there until there's none left, then puts another one in there a couple of days later.

There are also wafers you can buy to feed them.

It doesn't mess with the water at all. As a matter of fact, all of the bottom feeders in the tank nibble on it. She doesn't have the gold one, but all of the pet stores suggested the zucchini.

Looks like you have a gold Sailfin Plecostomus. If all of the algea is gone, buy some Hikari algea wafers. That will keep them happy. Two pleco's is too many for a twenty gallon. Limit to one, because those suckers get outrageously huge.

I've seen some two and a half foot long pleco's. If you are getting an accumulation of algea growing in a freshwater aquarium, then you are probabably overfeeding your fish. Try to feed only twice a day, the same time every day. Feed no more than what they can consume in 2-3 minutes.

What kind of fish do you have?

Oh, I've only been feeding once a day... Not growing any algae anymore, thats why I was concerned about the algae eater.
Fish
- gold algae eather
-2 black molly's (one female and one male)
-3 red sword tails (one male and 2 female)

Post pix of your aqariums guys, I'll get mine up as soon as I find my digi cam
