Should I be annoyed with DHL?
In the past 2 weeks I've had 2 packages sent via DHL, one was a valentine's present for my mom (keeps me out of the doghouse for a month or two...) and the other was an unrelated item for myself.
The valentine's present, went thru a DHL center in Ohio on its way to Maryland and got stuck in Ohio for an extra day "because of an ice storm," and didn't get delivered until the 15th.
The thing for me, came from a store in CA, was scheduled for a delivery today, but it got stuck in some DHL center in Utah. And of course, there's another big snowstorm that swept thru not too long ago.
DHL has been very good at keeping me updated with these delays, and yeah there's been foul weather both times...but is air frieght really supposed to be this unreliable when snowstorms are afoot?

well if there was weather related delays both times there isnt a whole lot they can do for you. I know when we had the blizzard hit us here in NY for valentines day we went from doing our normal 60k plus packages in our 4 hour shift to doing 15k due to weather related delays. Trucks just couldnt get here.
I would definately be annoyed with them. My company used to have a contract with DHL and we had bags with payroll (live checks) delivered 4 days late ...two times! Their excuse was that there were "harsh conditions" where they were delivering the bags to...so we called the other office and no...snow flurries.

Call up the company you ordered it from and state you paid for delivery by this date and you didnt receive it, so usually they'll waive shipping charges.
