120+ temps, no p/s, average weight loss per race of 5-10 lbs...running cm's from the wall and other cars at 180mph+. you may not enjoy watching it but dont knock it.
You left out looking like a complete fuck wad covered in advertising. Now there's something I want to watch/be part of/drive, cars that go in a big stupid circle and there's advertising all over everything.

Going by my "Judge a book by it's cover" scale, I usually associate the amount that someone likes NASCAR to be direct negative IQ points. It doesn't always work, but 99% of the time it does. Kind of like one of those "Here's your sign", signs. If a couple were to make an attempt at interaction with me and they are both wearing jackets with big number 8 on them, I can tell right away the level of person I'm going to have to communicate with them on.

Don't take it personally, you want to like it ok. But don't try to preach to me about how it's some kind of "respectable sport".

 most retarded concept of nascar fans ive ever heard in my life

i know tons and tons of nascar fans who are quite intellegent and succesful l business owners/ hi income earning families.

granted it used to be associated with southern rednecks but hate to tell you its much more than that...

but thats your opinion. i will say this though nascar is the #1 grossing sport in the US...not to mention it has the largest fan base of any sport in the country....yup its a pretty retarded redneck sport.

you wouldnt last 10 minutes in one of those cars

As to the NSX, the biggest reason I would wait for a 97+ is increase in engine displacement.

cm from another car or wall, 180mph in a 3200lb car on 10.5 inch wide slicks, 800+hp, no computers to help

I just can't see how it's fun to see a sport where Chevy (amazing in ALMS), Dodge, Ford, etc compete at their top of their technology and innovation on a oval track with thousands of fans (mostly rednecks) are cheering.

that's just me though..
F1 is cool because of the insane technology but it's usually one of the big 3 (ferrari, mclaren, renault) beating the snot out of the rest of the field.
Also NASCAR does a good job keeping all the teams happy and haven't had half of the field drop out of a race due to tire issues. h:

even you you die hard fans have to agree that its kinda stupid that "stock car" racing series has absolutely nothing to do with the actual cars that have their names painted on the race cars. One time on Speed they were showing some old school nascar and it was pretty sweet because it was actual chargers and GTOs just hammering it on on the track.

Also it really pisses me off that the SI website lists all motorsports under the catagory "NASCAR"

theres reasoning behind it...all cars are essentially identical body wise..they try to promote equal footing for all teams for the initial stage...it comes down to how good your team is at tweaking and ultimately how good of a driver you are. not how much backing you have to build a top of the line car

besides starting next year wont matter...everyone will be switching the the nascar sanctioned and licsenced body...the only think manufacturer specific will be the engine and even those are extremely limited in uniqueness.
