Default looking for new job thread

so I am looking for new job where I am more mobile then now. I am tired of sitting behind desk in my cube. The jobs I am looking are all a lot less pay then I am getting now so I am going to take a huge paycut. What it comes down to is money vs being happy. How important is money to you? For those who dream of making 6figures or whatever, I hope you know its not always going to make you happy.

well, the mentality I use ...

There are 24 hours in a day.
8 are for work
8 are for home
8 are for rest

work is only 1/3rd of your day. You have 2/3rd's to be happy.

I never fuse emotions and working. Work is something I do to make the other 16 hours of my life better.

yeah but you forgot commute, eating, errends. It the end I only have 6 hours of sleep and work is way more then 8 hours when you make that kind of money. Trust me 150k is about 100 hours of work a week, cube or home.

I work to provide. Although I don't directly support anyone but myself, the day will come where my earnings will fund something much more important than hours at the office.

If you can still provide ... If you can still offer the same quality of life for your family ... by all means, quit the job you hate.

If your family has to start compromising (moving into a house way too small, only having 1 car when you need 2, etc), it's not worth it.
