Default Vaio problem..

Grr, okay. I bought this Vaio last week when BBY was clearing out their stock for the new Vista computers. I got the shelf model, $400 off + $150 GC. Now, I have the mic muted, but whenever I unmute it, I get this high pitched squeeling noise.. should I return it (they cant exchange it) and just live with it? I really like this laptop..

Total was $953.99, that could easily buy me the guitar Ive been wanting for a few years (or a Skylark). Kinda bought this laptop on the spot, cause I have been wanting one and it was a nice price.

I'm sure that Vaio has previous restore points, I know mine does.....take it back to maybe a few mths and see if that helps. Or go to "control panel">>>>"sounds and audio devices" and see if there's anything out of the ordinary that's selected/not selected. :hsdunno:

I'm sure it's a quick fix though.

what's the specs on the laptop anyways?

first:
take a flashlight and look inside the audio jacks for something stuck in there.

if it's all clear, uninstall the audio drivers

only has restore points back to the 29th, which is when I bought it, and is when it started having problems.

I didn't want to say it, but even over at Dell, you could have purchased something better for $200 less. :hs:
