Anyone ever been hired by a company to relocate to a different location of the state or country before? Just wondering what they usually help with. I am looking at options of moving across the country ^_^

my roommate is actually considering a relocation but w/in the same company. things that theyre doin for him as far as i know:

-pay for movers and packing
-2 months free housing at new location (he'll be in an apt until he finds a place he wants to buy)
-2% of the price he sells his current place if he does

i think thats it. there might be more stuff that i dont know of, but overall its a pretty sweet deal. theyre not giving him a huge pay increase b/c cost of living at this other area is pretty low compared to where we're at now

Well I woke up this morning and I was thinking FL or GA. Don't know but I think it'd be different to move to the south for a couple of years

No but I'd like to visit Miami this July or August. Maybe even take a cross country drive out there for 2 weeks then head back to wherever the hell I'm going

 

Sounds like you don't have a clue as to what you wanna do. A cross country drive and going back to wherever the hell you're going?

 

I have family that is moving from Santa Monica to Miami. They invited me to head out there this summer to check out the area. That's mostly why I was thinking somewhere in FL or maybe even GA. Only thing I'd be annoyed with would be hurricane season.

 

the navy relocated me. it was a little different than your situation though.

 

Ohhh I see....I guess Florida is ok. A friend of mine from jersey left to miami and now she wants to move back lol. Florida is either a "hate it or love it" state.
