Some auto dealerships will pay for techs to relocate if you sign a contract. Thats what my old dealership did.

My current employer payed up $2000 in moving costs for me to relocate

Yeah that's the only thing really holding me back. I'd have to make sure I like it out there. I think it'd be a lot easier with family around. Not sure July is far away

When I worked for Holiday Inn they paid all the moving expenses for my household. That was because I was a department head and had gotten promoted and needed to move to another state. They even paid the moving expenses when I was first promoted from maintenance worker to Chief Engineer. They also put my family up in the hotel (room and food) when they moved up with me until we found a place to rent.
